More than just a skilled Pastry Chef, Verlie is also a business women. She balances creativity and business skills at a high level. Verlie’s experience includes working the catering circuit, company feasts for the likes of Disney, Universal and Dreamworks Production.

In New York, Verlie worked at Bobby Flay’s world famous ‘Mesa Grill’. That wasn’t enough for her. After putting in the work in the kitchen Payne decided to seek a professional culinary education at the Institute for Culinary Education. She graduated with honors with a Culinary Arts degree.

Aside from her kitchen experience and education, Verlie carries a wealth of experience in the business world. Payne spent 9 years as a Sales Executive in the Finance and Technology industry gaining experience in sales, marketing, and client relations.
